In this article I will be discussing the use of the Robinhood app as an easy way to purchase stocks. This is geared towards beginners but all are welcome..
So, I personally started buying stocks back when blockbuster video was still the primary way to rent movies. LOL I know those of you who grew up with Netflix are probably scratching your heads like; what is Blockbuster? I digress.
Anyway, during that time if you wanted to invest you had to either go through a broker or bank with a brokerage account option attached. And the fees where horrible!
This perpetuated the notion that only people who already had a certain level of investment capitol and education could invest in the stock market. Further, there was little to no basic, plain language information available for people just getting started.
Now, investing in stocks is as easy as signing in to a free app from your phone or mobile device. And you can do this without fee’s and with as little or as much capital you want to invest.

Robinhood
The Robinhood investing app launched in March 2015. It became widely adopted in a relatively short period of time due to its zero fee stock trading business model. In fact, it has been so successful at this that other more traditional companies have had to create similar products and offerings to compete.
