You’re on a mission to achieve your goals! And with dreams in hand, you start your journey up the stairwell to success. You can clearly see the finish line, and you feel victory is just within reach. But there’s a catch. Your dreams aren’t the only things you’re carrying. You may also be carrying; the opinions of others, Self-doubt, Bad habits, and more. Over time you have collected and given these things importance in your life, so you feel compelled to bring them along for the ride. Yes, you‘re excited about what you wish to accomplish and in turn confident that you are strong enough to do it all.
As you navigate your way upward, you begin to encounter life’s obstacles. Money problems, relationships, etc.. Some, you are able to side-step. But others, make you stumble & fall. And as a result leaves you picking up the pieces over and over again. But you don’t let that stop you. You center yourself as best you can and focus more intently on your goals. As you continue to labor with every breath, and step you ask yourself, why is this so difficult? And why can’t I see the finish-line as I did when I first started my journey?
Then it hits you!
You notice something you hadn’t before. And that is when you fall and are forced to drop everything, you’re then able to see your path more clearly. Because now there is nothing obstructing your view. Most take this time to rest, gain confidence, and get back to the climb. Don’t do this! Take this as an opportunity to lighten your load!
Set aside the opinions of others for they have a tendency to cloud your judgment. Then leave behind self-doubt, as it dilutes the surety of your steps. And last but not least, discard any bad habits. They don’t have a place in your future. Now Breath and dig in to finish your accent to glory. See and believe in your path. Chart your curse and take confident steps.
More often than not, the path to achieving your goals will be filled with obstacles to overcome. And those obstacles will need to be approached with focus and strength. We all must figure out the things that are weighing us down and obstructing our views. And then we must consciously decide to remove those things from our lives. I know this may be easier said than done. But it is vital to increasing the likelihood of success.
Continue to refine the baggage you are carrying with you on your journey. Not just to reach your destination quickly, but so that when you do reach your destination, you’re not living your future hindered by the past.
